The Seniors' Final Advice

To the future graduating classes of Maria Carrillo,
Remember, as the class of 2022 has seen, high school will go by in a flash. Take advantage of every opportunity. Enjoy the little things. Make the best of it. This is what some members of the class of ‘22 want you to remember during your high school career.

“Do what you want to do, and don’t let other people get you down.” -Natalie Roe
“Stay sexy; don’t get murdered.” -Dylan Moore
“Actually talk to your counselors and be polite to them.” -Olivia Lindley

“DON'T TAKE JC CLASSES FOR GRANTED.” -Ashley Busienei
“Pick up trash.” -Oliver Thompson
“Don’t be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone to meet new people. They are friendlier than they seem.” -Katrina Gorauskas
“There’s more to life than high school.” -Emma Hughes
“99% of teachers are going to want to help you, so do not be afraid to approach them and talk to them about any concerns that you have.” -Sreya Putrevu
“Tell your parents not to park in the student parking lot.” -Carter Ingersoll
“I think a big thing that students do not utilize is the SRJC classes; you can take more of what you want due to the wider variety, and you can get classes done quicker, and I personally like the course work better.” -Natalie Roe
“Don’t feel pressured to take any AP classes.” -Ashley Busienei
“Talk to and check in with your counselor frequently. Keep track of all of the classes that you need to take to graduate and the classes that you want to take.” -Sreya Putrevu
“Check out Junior Achievement of Northern California. It’s cool.” -Angelina Ong
“Do not procrastinate on your homework until the last minute. It is never worth it.” -Katrina Gorauskas
“Get your driver's license, so you don’t have to rely on your parents driving you.” -Hayley Prince
“Don’t be afraid to talk to people.” -Sreya Putrevu
“Try not to procrastinate, but we all know you’re going to do that anyways.” -Angelina Ong
